After the VGN-UX50 model, Sony now presents another ultra-mobile pocket PC. Still under the VAIO U range, here’s the VGN-UX17LP model. Claimed as the world’s smallest and lightest PC, this mobile PC features an Intel Core Solo U1400 (1.2 GHz) processor, 512MB of RAM, 30GB of HDD, and 4.5-inch (1020×600) WSVGA Clear Bright LCD display. Like its big brother, the VGN-UX17LP will be packed with biometrics fingerprint sensor and integrated camera module as well. But instead of one, users will have two cameras which would be useful for doing video conference. Too bad there’s no detail about the camera’s sensor quality.

Comes with Microsoft Windows XP Professional edition OS pre-installed, Sony’s VAIO VGN-UX17LP ultra-mobile pocket PC is also packed with a GPS navigation system, external DMB receiver, QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth connectivity, and 3-in-1 memory card reader (Memory Stick Duo / Memory Stick Duo Pro / CF). According to one official from the company, this ultra mobile entertainment notebook PC is launched to continue to strengthen unique brand image of VAIO.

Weighs at just 517 grams, no words about the price of this pocket PC yet.
